Worlds
A world is a generated map with towns, roads and factions. You walk from town to town, and in each place you enter you get a scene with the people who live there. Worlds is desktop only.
Starting a world
Open the Worlds page and press New world. Give it a name and pick a world template. The templates come from the Templates page, where you can write your own or generate one from a prompt. Without a template the app uses a built-in one. The app then generates the map and runs the towns' history before you arrive, which takes a moment. If the template has more than one start, you pick where the story opens.
The world saves itself as you play. Esc opens the pause menu with Save now, Revert to last save, Settings and Leave this world. Time stops while a menu is open.
The map

Your marker is on the map with the towns and the roads. Click anywhere to walk there. When you stand at a town, an Enter button appears at the bottom. The clock in the top right runs the world. You set its speed from one second to thirty minutes of game time per second, and Wait skips an hour, eight hours or a day. Towns keep trading and growing while the clock runs.
A town

A town screen lists its places. Enter opens a scene there. Buy makes the place yours: it keeps what you leave in it, you can work it, or hire someone to work it while you are away. Once you own every place in a town, the town is yours and its treasury pays you a share each day. Below the places are the job board, the town's description and its news. Your own sheet is on the left: money, stats and what you carry.
A scene

Entering a place opens a scene with the people who live or work there. You write what you do, the same as in a story. Your abilities are on a bar above the composer. The party panel on the right shows who travels with you. The town's name at the top takes you back to the town.
Quests

J opens the quest log. Quests are offered by the people you meet and by the job boards. Each one says who offers it and where. Accept a quest to follow it, and the scenes you play are told what you are after.
